I look up,
At the sky,
And see the clouds all darkening,
And the rain,
From my eyes,
Is polluted.
I stick my nose in clouds. Too proud, to feel the fear.
I boast about myself out loud... and,
Below me, beneath my feet, discretely,
And deluded, lies a door you can't see.
And a monster hibernates behind me,
feeling safe, because it doesn't know that I can die.
I look up,
And the sky,
Lights with electricity.
And I get high off the rumble... rumble of the thunder.
Until my view turns to the floor again,
Too afraid to open that hidden door,
To the secret passage-way away, down under.
I can only imagine what it'd be like to explore... beneath the core.
While my sleeping monster stays sleeping,
Only because it doesn't know that I am awake.
I look up.
I make a wish.
Take the boat out and fish.
These clouds are my lake.
